4/5: Conform
All items must conform to our list of items we purchase.
This list is composed of both items that are safe to sell used and items that sell well. Items that do not conform to our list of acceptable products are either deemed unsafe to sell by the CSPC or items we have found to sell poorly in the past.
Items that are recalled are illegal to buy or sell. We will check if your item has been recalled on the CSPC website. If it does not meet safety standards, we will not be able to purchase the item.
It is EXTREMELY dangerous to sell used car seats. There is absolutely no way to tell if a car seat has been in an accident or not unless you actually GET into an accident- it will either work or it won’t.
While there are plenty of people who will tell you they ask about accidents, they check the expiration date, they inspect for cracks and defects (many of which can be interior and not visible) and they make sure all the ducks are in a row, there is no way to truly be sure if a used car seat is safe to reuse.
