Well, hi there!
Baby Go Round (or as we are affectionately known by our friends, “BGR”) Resale has been serving families in San Diego California since 1990.
We are a very unique, earth friendly, green and community service based business.
Our store is entirely made up of gently loved baby, kids and maternity clothing as well as baby gear, toys and furniture that other parents in San Diego sell or trade to us.
We’re often described as being like a co-op. We are run by the community and for the community.
We pride ourselves on being friendly, down to earth, passionate about our community and most all, extremely convenient for busy families.(Learn just how easy it is to shop, sell or trade with us here)
Besides finding new homes for and recycling gently loved items, keeping them out of landfills, providing great items at low cost or no cost for our community (we also have a clientele of mostly military families) and helping those same families earn easy cash or trade for their own no longer needed gently loved items, we are also very unique in the sense of being nearly 100% family owned and operated.
Kyle and Paige are the married owners. Tyra, Mary and Kat have been best friends since childhood. Desiree is actually the mother of Paige. Cameron is our Tyra’s brother-in-law. Lorayne is a long-time customer who became an employee! And all together we form the BGR Family!
We are told several times on a daily basis our passion for helping our community truly shines through- everyone who comes into BGR can tell we have fun and love doing what we do!
Our Story
I’m Paige, and with my husband Kyle, we are the owners of Baby Go Round Resale. As of August 2016, we purchased the business from our childhood best friend, Tawny. Tawny and her family owned the business for several years (2009-2016), but due to health issues and an opportunity of starting a new chapter, they decided to pass it on to us.
We have worked at BGR for the past 6 years as managers, learning the trade and our clientele. We have purchased, tagged, cleaned toys and gear, cashiered, and more. It’s been such a journey, meeting all of your families and helping to find those baby must-haves and items on your wishlists. Baby Go Round is our home away from home. We love coming to work every day and being able to help so many families be able to save money by shopping resale, instead of retail. We are a community service and we are passionate about providing for our neighborhood. We strongly believe in shopping local, supporting mom-and-pop shops, and being green.
We are always working on new ideas and services, while maintaining our small business feel and keeping prices as low as possible. We love getting customer feedback, reviews, and especially seeing pictures you post of your little ones in BGR outfits or playing with new-to-you toys.
